Riley, speaking on his monthly coaches show on Thursday, said that all nine coaches will hit the road in the state in a “Nebraska Swarm,” with coaches hitting 45-50 schools on Friday.
“We want to find the very best players in the state, and those guys have to come to Nebraska,” Riley said.
Nebraska is hoping to carry the recruiting momentum from its spring game to the recruiting trail. The challenge for Nebraska, however, will be managing numbers in this year’s class. Riley said that as of now, Nebraska is planning to sign 15 prospects in the 2018 class, and that hitting numbers at certain positions will be key.
For example, Nebraska is recruiting three wide receivers, and just one outside linebacker in this year’s class. Riley said that on Thursday, Nebraska ranked its recruiting board for players who would be taken in the class, if they want in.
