You're not the only who thought NU fans outnumbered Wake Fans. This was on Sports Illustrated:I have read Wake fans thought their were only 8k-9k in that stadium that were Huskers. For point of reference, when I came into the game, I literally saw zero Wake fans until I approached the gold lot. Even then, Nebraska fans were out in force tailgating in that lot as well. Wake fans can be in denial all they want, but they were without a single doubt in my mind outnumbered today.
Nebraska traveled 1,165 miles to play its only nonconference road game of the season, but the predominance of red inside 31,500-seat Groves Stadium - the smallest venue the Huskers have played since 1971 - made it seem a little like Lincoln, and early on had Keller feeling right at home.
