Do you know how many personal fouls we would get called on now a days?
Memba one of the following years (when Helu went off on his record game) I think, one of the Osborne twins lost their forced fumble against Gabbert because the ref ruled forward progress had stopped in the pocket :facepalm:

That's still one of the most bulls#!t calls I've ever seen.
First of all, there was no call on the field other than the ref immediately blowing the play dead for some reason.
Second of all, it's the clearest damn fumble you'll ever see.
Third of all, Ed Cunningham's sanctimonious hate boner against us that year led to the announcers almost failing to point out the fumble at all, barely giving it lip service in the context of talking about how it was an illegal hit.
Fourth, there was never any review, or explanation given. The game just moved on with one of the most egregious no/wrong calls you'll ever see.
