Three things that I thought last year, that kind of merge into this upcoming season were reminded to me while watching this game.
1. Ciante Evans is not good. Been saying it since his "good game" against Mizzou. Offensive Coordinators really seemed to pick on him when he came into the game. Was burned a couple times during this OSU game and committed penalties as well. Things that we saw a lot last fall. Again SJB needs to buy into playing the nickle, he would THRIVE there.
2. The mismatches, personel combinations, and play potentials out of the diamond formation was underused after this game. This formation is the kind that can cause DCs all kinds of headaches, and really stresses a defense to play assignment ball.
3. Spencer Long, if the youngins are struggling, and ARod proves he can put full games together, should be the center next fall. Watson loves pulling the center on a lot of plays annd Spencer is a proven roadgrader coming around the edge. He also is smart enough to make the line calls.
Finally the greatest thing that came out of this game was a post about Bausermann's throwing chart. That was classic. SOOOO....if someone who doesn't have an 8-5 manual labor job like myself *COUGH* knapp *COUGH* I would +1 ya for a week. It so needs to make another appearance in this thread.
