Nebraska won’t live or die by the 3, but it’s going to lean heavily on it this year. That much was clear with the mass amounts of 3s taken by Nebraska in the 16-minute scrimmage. Tim Miles said at Big Ten media day that the two stats he’ll be watching closest this season will be 3-point defense and 3-point shooting percentage. Nebraska shooting 12 percent (3 for 25) in a 16-minute scrimmage means something, but not a ton. A lot of 3s tend to be taken in loose scrimmages like that. But it’s clear finding good 3s will be a focus this year. The Huskers finished 226th in 3-pointers attempted last season with about 20 a game. That’ll probably go up.
