Yes, but it's still okay to make remarks about posts/threads we don't like.  Right?  That has occurred from time to time in these forums, right?

I didn't tell them they couldn't.

I'm not a fan of recruiting, but if I went into the recruiting threads and told the folks there their thing is lame, how do you think that'd go over?

I see that point, I guess.  🤨

I have a rather freaky disdain for what appears to be censorship in forums.  Sometimes what I'm responding to may barely or not even be that.

I got sanctioned by our good Admin guy here  a few years ago for clicking the laughing emoticon in every prayer line of the pre-game thread here.  He mad the point that it's a tradition etc.   I honestly thought it was a tongue-on-cheek joke thread.  So... well this thread, this thread idea, has made me laugh since I first saw it as I'm a bit of an advocate for keeping prayer to myself;  I love seeing it publicly and in places like this because it brings a grin to me and looks sillier than ... other stuff.

That user up there who advocated for this thread going away is one way to look at it, too.  It's nonsense, but nonsense (to me) can be fun.

I do. its a statement. Tell me one UNL squad that has embodied this prayer in the past 20 years, particularly the last 4 lines. The passionless, emotionless "performance" today was just another reminder and possibly a point of note  in Rhule's time here to be reflected on a few years down the road. . When I think we have seen all that can go bad, we find a way to see worse. that  was a bad, bad loss. lose by 7 I get it. lose by 7 touchdowns while being one of the most valuable brands in CFB?  I m at a loss for words.....again. Knapp You can ban me, kick me out but tell me I'm wrong?

You're right. It was a terrible loss. We got beat on offense, defense, and special teams, and we were out-coached.

But what does any of that have to do with the fans having fun rituals before games?

just making the point. of course nothing wrong with that and its not for me to judge anyone ever. but for gawds sake...hard for me to elevate for a program that has so much easy potential and cant get out of their own way decade after decade. Yesterday was really damaging.

To me, a "5 star QB" is a very last defense to us being Minnesota. I'm a 6 decades fan, there is literally nothing left we havent tried to get this thing turned. I pray this game is not "Scott Frosts Colorado". That prayer came out when lack of passion was the last thing conceivable in Lincoln. Now its a decades long theme.  passion can get this program to 9 wins over lack of skill 7 days a week...it used to be the competitive advantage for Nebraska, woven into the culture. if you cant at least have the passion, its over.  lack of passion here is an absolute death sentence and completely unacceptable.   apologize if I offended anyone, just venting. hey, i didn't get into the "sell out streak"

I used to be mildly annoyed by it (mainly because I don't like the wording of the prayer, but that's neither here nor there), but these days I'm okay with folks wanting to keep a tradition.  Lord knows that with this FB program we have to take any positive we can get.  Let members have the prayer.  Like stated above, if you don't like it, ignore it.
