Husker priority: Avoid big gains by K-State

Did anyone see how well KSU defended the zone read against UCF? Just for kicks, say that Thomas is successful against is. He'd still need to translate that into about 4-5 TDs, which I don't see happening. 2-3, maybe, but they aren't getting into the 30s on us, and we will be getting to that number on them.

I don't see how everyone is so confident that we are going to put up 30+ points. We should have put up at least 50 on SDSU last weekend and came away with 17. WTH? Hopefully like Bo said, they had the "day off" on Saturday against SDSU. We still don't have a proven QB yet. How do you expect us to make third down conversions when we can't hit wide open receivers against an FBS team? Even if they weren't mentally prepared or fired up for that game, they should still be able to over power everyone in the trenches. I hope I'm wrong and we put up 30+ but I just don't see it happening unless we can do it all on the ground.
