How about a Husker conversation topic where all the options are good ones?

Enter, this quarterback question. That is if I did the poll right.

Never done one.

Anyhow.... I think we have some interesting QBs on the roster and yet it feels like the position is an open competition, at least to a fan it does.

Got me to thinking... what would be the best or most fun QB story.

Fyfe and Darlington get my vote.

To have Fyfe step up and become a legendary Husker would be awesome since he was lightly recruited and even commented that he was nervous about how he would measure up.

Darlington stepping up, probably in 2015, would be great press for Coach Bo and the program. We stuck by Bo and he delivered. Bo stuck by Darlington and he delivered. Husker loyalty. LOVE IT.

Of course there is no wrong answer here. Any QB lighting it up would be FUN FUN FUN.

You are no fun Landlord.

This isn't supposed to be the thread, like others, that talks about whether Fyfe looked good enough in the spring to be a contender. Or who the more likely guy is to win in an Armstrong vs. Stanton battle.

This was supposed to get fan input on what they would like to see happen.

In other words... man, it would be cool if Stanton turned out to be the guy because .... whatever.

Or as I typed about Darlington... because the story would revolve around loyalty.

Obviously we want the most qualified QB to win the job. We don't know who that is going to be though.

So I proposed a bit of fantasy football.

Sue me.

It's not like the same conversations won't go on here in a couple of weeks with the draft.

Wouldn't it be cool if..... fill in a seventh round pick's name.... turned out to be the next .... fill in the next hall of fame guy's name..... because.....

I personally would want to see Armstrong run the option like Gill or Frazier for the next three years, for nostalgia's sake. But I think of any of those scenarios, the best story would be if Fyfe came off the bench as a walk-on to become the best passer ever.

As far as Darlington goes, I think his best story would be to stick through his time at Nebraska and become a young coaching star. For his own sake, I kind of hope he never plays tackle football again, with the concussion history he has.

Unless I'm missing something, the only two answers included a milestone victory. Thus, Darlington or Dillman have to be the answer. I went with Darlington because that could theoretically be this year.

I really don't care who the QB is. Armstrong, Stanton, Fyfe, Joe Schmoe, doesn't matter to me. I just want to see them play well.

I don't have any reason to root for Armstrong over Stanton, or Fyfe over Armstrong. If they have an N on the side of their helmet, I'm cheering for them.

I guess that means my answer would be "Z" all of the above.

Speaking of Jamal, I had to laugh last year... I was at the game, I think it was one of the early ones. And Jamal catches a touchdown pass. The PA guy says.... The pass is caught by Jamal Lord..... Jamal Lord, scoring for the Huskers. LOL

I think it's an interesting poll. Of course, most all of us would like to see all the QB's, and the team as a whole, do well. Not sure why people feel the need to stipulate that. You offered 5 fairly specific good options, none of which are likely to totally cover whatever actually happens.

I went with TA resurrecting the option and looking like Gill while doing so. A close 2nd was Darlington leading us to a BCS win.

It's just for fun people. Choosing one doesn't mean we wouldn't enjoy seeing any of them happen.
