Huskers And The 2019 NFL Draft

2019 NFL Draft: Biggest combine snubs include big Nebraska running back, receiver who shined at Senior Bowl

Devine Ozigbo, RB, Nebraska

Ozigbo is the combine-snub headliner after his 1,082-yard campaign at Nebraska in 2018 that featured a hefty 7.0 yards per carry. At 6-foot and around 235 pounds, Ozigbo is a load, but he's not a straight downhill back. He's flexible, can make defenders miss on occasion, and is capable of making cuts you wouldn't expect for such a big back. Ozigbo is currently my No. 88 overall prospect and RB7.

Philip Lindsay from Colorado wasn't invited to the combine last year, and things seemed to work out fine for him. Of course the combine can boost your stock, but it isn't the end of the world if you aren't invited. That just means you have to shine at the pro day.

Nice 4.53 40 by Stan. Figured he would run mid 4.5 to 4.6.

Look at what top recruiting classes can do

Ohio st 3 wrs

campbell 4.31

mcglaughlin 4.36

Dixon 4.41

rb

Weber 4.41

Stanley making a list of combine 'Risers' here - they're also really high on Ozigbo. Same reasons thar have been posted here - 4.53 is good enough for a guy whose not a burner, and his agility/acceleration both tested really well. If you can run routes and separate, there's a place for you in the NFL.

Obviously it's not all about test numbers, but being a fairly average height and speed for WRs it helps to have some differentiators like quickness and route running.
