Huskers Get Excellent Score in Graduation Success Rate

I thought making a 50% GSR (over six years if it hasn't changed) a requirement for postseason participation made a lot of sense. I think that came from the Knight Commission? That's the only reason I remember the name of that outfit. Maybe it no longer exists.

It's quite a big deal that we're pushing Northwestern in this category especially given our history in the B1G (talking about that accreditation).

I wonder how many other schools have a student-athlete facility like ours? Could be paying dividends in this respect. Hopefully parents of recruits actually care about such things.

Does Pelini deserve some positive recognition for some of this?
Absolutely, as does Callahan during his era. Say what you will about either coach, but both kept up academic success rates quite well. Both understood that aspect of Nebraska's culture.

I'm too lazy to dig up an article, but I recall Bo saying something about spot checks on class attendance in his first year or two here, as in, he'd be dropping in on classes to make sure his players were attending. 94.72% sure I read that somewhere.
