If graduation hadn't happened, and no teams changed at all...this might matter. But that's what's great about college football.Andy Staples does not have Nebraska in the Top 25 Post-Spring Power Rankings.
By Comparison, he has:
Ohio State at #4-We got killed
Georgia at #11-We stayed with them until 4Q
Michigan State at #14-we beat
Michigan at #16-We beat
UCLA at #21-6 point loss
Northwestern at #22-We beat
Vanderbilt at #23-Did not beat a ranked opponent or anyone with a record above .500 last year
Northern Illinois at #24-Seriously? I know they are a good team but we are not even above this team?
Any opinions?
None of us had Ohio State going undefeated, few had KState having the season they had. Last year you'd have bashed Utah State, San Jose State, Northern Illinois, likely Florida/FSU, Northwestern, Texas, Oregon State etc...yet they all ended up in the AP top 25 ahead of us.
There are going to be half a dozen teams you never thought of ranked above us next year if we finish similar to how we have the last 5 years. All he's saying is, we're likely going to finish similar, and here are a bunch of teams that could end up ahead of us. He's not exactly going out on a limb. We haven't finished worth a sh!t in the polls the entire Pelini era...but hey, at least we've always won 9.
