Huskers vs. USC

Their starting rotation alone makes them a top 25 team. Our bats came alive at the right times and we had some breaks go our way. USC is not a bad team and has a great chance to be playing in Omaha.
Non-conf SOS - 140, 0-8 against quad 1 wins.
Purdue & Oregon coming up. This will show what they have.

Agree, but Horn being moved to the bullpen will help. USC is 0 - 8 against quad 1 teams. They are the only team in the top 50 with no quad 1 wins.
I agree with you that USC played a very pedestrian non-conference schedule that inflated win totals. Nebraska challenged itself more. A win against Auburn and Florida State might be beneficial come seed time. USC is a good team but certainly not in the upper echelon.

Honestly it is hard to gauge to me. We have a fairly easy remaining schedule full of .500ish teams other than big 12 leading Kansas and big east leading Creighton for mid week games. Our play on the road needs to improve but I would be surprised if we didn't win our 4 remaining series with Illinois, Ohio State, Minnesota and Iowa. If we do that, we will likely be hosting a regional and favored to win. Super will boil down to location and team draw. We have the bats to compete with anyone if we can get a little better performance from our rotation. If our bats stay hot, I wouldn't be surprised to see us playing in Omaha.
I like the optimism and I agree with the bats and we need to clean up the free passes from the staff. It certainly does come down to matchups in the regional but I would be extra thankful for Nebraska hosting a regional. Tired of the 'Huskers being sent to Baum-Walker in Fayetteville.
