Hypothetical: Nebraska to the SEC?

Nebraska is currently 572 miles from the geographic center of the Big Ten near Fort Wayne, IN.

Nebraska is 602 miles (only 30 miles more) from what is now the geographic center of the SEC, just outside Memphis / Northern Mississippi.

Lincoln is actually a closer drive to the 3 nearest SEC teams (Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma) than they currently are to their 3 closest Big Ten teams (Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin).

That would be one heck of a steal for the SEC to land all 3 of the Big 12's former blue blood schools. Nebraska would love to be able to recruit Texas and all of the South. And the SEC would get a blue blood that travels well, fills stadiums, & gets high tv ratings.

I guess nothing is predictable right now but it sure doesn't appear to make sense for either side to want to make that move imo.

I literally could not respect myself after YEARS of saying f#&% the SEC...to just shifting and saying "SEC, SEC, SEC". It is not remotely close as the same scenario from going from the Big 12 to Big Ten.

We would be that 80's dork who all of the sudden became cool and ditched his friends for Cobra Kai

It's interesting to think:

-Colorado leaves for the Pac 10 and Missouri get's their Big Ten Invite.

-Texas, still flirts with taking half the remaining teams to the Pac 10

-Nebraska, in limbo, finds an invite from the SEC with probably Oklahoma

Imagine if in 2011 we made our SEC debut.  The last 10 years probably aren't any better in terms of results, but Imagine the players we would be bringing in at this point.

Everything else aside, from a pure football viewpoint, UNL and its fans seem to share a lot of commonalities with the SEC than with most other schools from other conferences, including the B1G.
