Walk-on
If anti-depressant sales double between the end of bowl season and the beginning of fall practice.

Sure do suffer during that time.

I would guess that More beers are consumed, More Babies made and drownings stock in vasoline goes up as well

Got to get into basketball and or baseball. I just have to make it until march and spring training is here.

You guys are missing the obvious! As soon as the Huskers are done I turn to that heart pounding NBA season. How exciting!

-That's a joke by the way.

I cant get into basketball either. Dont know why.
I finally realized why I don't like basketball as much as I did as a kid. It's because now adays it seems every single player in the NBA is good. You don't have those 2 or 3 stars in the NBA like you did back in the day. If you think about...in the 80's it was Magic and Bird. Yes there were other great players but those two were the stars of the NBA for most of the 80's. It was always fun to watch both of those teams play and you always hoped they would both meet in the finals. Just my two cents on the matter. Now back to the greatest sport in the world...FOOTBALL!

to me there just isn't the emotion in the NBA that you see in college basketball and college sports in general. this is the same reason i favor college football over the NFL, the passion, the emotion, the whole thing of college sports is great. and thats why i like college sports better

Well, we'd be honored to have you on board as being down with O.P.P. (Oliver Purnell's Posse). He took over the program my freshman year (2003-2004) and turned an awful team into a team that is extremely competitive in the ACC. Went to the ACC title game last year losing to UNC, after beating Duke, and BC in the tourney. They are a fun team to watch, defensively pressing the whole game. Not sure of the caliber team the the Huskers have, but we'd love for you guys to become Tiger hoops fans, especially in the ACC.

our team is "getting better"... nothing great, maybe in a few years they'll be something special.. for here at least... kinda like KU football we'll probably never compete consistently with KU and OU and UT but i'd like to believe we can be good enough one year to make a run, and hopefully compete year in and year out for the tourney... right now we lack height...

Tiger hoops beat Miami tonight to become 12-0 on the season with road wins over Miami, Charlotte (I attended), and Illinois. OP has us rolling.

Well I know a coach who could get you to that level, buy you guys can't have him. He's turned around every team he's ever coached. Plus I think he's satisfied in the ACC.

Doc has done quite well and changed the mentality of the team.. its just going to take a few years to get everything in place...

How about Highschool Basketball?

That used to be fun to watch..but then..I guess I haven't gone since I WAS in Highschool...Probably a bad idea to concentrate on the cheerleaders, now.

I went to one NU BB game against Coloradao back when I went to UNL..And my Brother took me to a couple of ASU/Oregon State games when I came out to visit him one Christmas and they were both in the top 4..almost 30 years ago.

I had lunch once with a college buddy at Majerle's (Dan) next to where the Suns were playing the Cav's in a playoff game back when he still played here...and before being traded to the Cav's...Someone even tried unloading tickets while we were waiting for our sangwiches..

Maybe I can finally memorize the NU Football games I DVR'd this season.
