It has been made clear to him that he has that option for two years now. :dunnoWatson can always "resign".
now that is problem solving!!!You know maybe the next school to come after one of our D coaches should have to take Watson in a package deal...
So... you're saying we should keep Watson out of curiosity? That's the last reason we should keep a coach whose unit is sputtering this badly.I know this is a loaded question but aren’t any of you slightly interested to see if Watson can right the ship? Listen I am not here to argue on why we should keep him. For god’s sake his play calling alone this year has been horrid. But if he does stay what’s to say he can't improve with a healthy and seasoned Martinez and improving Cody Green.
We also changed from 5-2 scheme to a 4-3 during the McBride tenure. Him and Osborne both knew that the players were getting faster and that they knew they couldnt keep up. I believe this was after the Citrus Bowl when we played Georgia Tech in 1990, I could be wrong as Im a youngin.So... you're saying we should keep Watson out of curiosity? It worked out for Charlie McBride. The guy hung around after the late 80s/early 90s when we were routinely getting trounced, and he masterminded some of the most brilliant defenses I've ever witnessed. But just because McBride did it doesn't mean Watson can, or will.
Watson needs to show Bo and the decision-makers that he can get it done. Maybe he has, and maybe we just don't know about it. If he has, and he can, I'm all for keeping the guy.

I guess I just keep coming back to Ganz and what was accomplished with him. But that’s really an apples to oranges thing. Different Offence - Different QB
