If the roles were reversed...

It's such a close call that either way there would be controversy. If we were in Texas' shoes I'm sure we'd be more than happy we escaped with a win. Since we came out on the losing end we will b!^@h about what could (should?) have been.

It wouldn't have been a close call if Colt would have really known the amount of time on the clock... He didn't really get punished for it, but could have. It was only close because of McCoy's own folly.
Yeah . . . but I don't know what that proves. Most game ending plays are the result of someone not executing. This one is no different.

The difference is he failed to execute properly but was not punished. Anyway....I agree with the poster above. 4th down on our end of the field so it wouldn't have mattered. :)

IF they put the second back on, then we'd have a plane with a banner flying over Glendale...
Haha. It's funny to think about having one with 60:01 flying over Pasadena. I can't see Husker fans going for that . . . and rightfully so. That would be a Texas move.

McCoy screwed-up, generally if you launch the ball into the seats with a couple seconds left to play you're done.

If Lee did that I'd have been cussing him not the refs, and I do think the game would have probably been over.

Exactly, they snapped it with like 7 seconds left, generally you consider 7 seconds to be the minimum you can try to squeeze a pass play in. McCoy deserved to have lost that game on a boneheaded error.

:yeah That's what I was trying to say Carl. The little pony didn't get punished for what a huge blunder and lack of time management that really was. Oh well, karma's a b*tch. Alabama will trounce them. :hookerhorns

The funny thing is - McCoy either didn't know how much time was left, or thought there was more time than there was.

If Suh doesn't bust through his double team like a broken door and run McCoy down, forcing the heave out of bounds, we win the game.

Okay, I guess that's not a funny thing...
