Lee. He had some terrible calls but i remember Ganz last year sometimes getting pressure would just throw it right into someones hands. Lee was very aware and threw the ball away most of the time perfectly. I dont know if the game got to him or the pressure but he has been much better then this. He definately didnt seem in sync. He is better then this and we really need to get him some more game time. I think hes our man this year.

Helu. Jesus that guy can scoot, talk about makeing something out of nothing. Great game and way to hustle man. Good playmaker.

WRs. Lee was having a dificult time but the catching ability of you guys needs to improve. Some passes were right there they just slipped out of your hands.

Defense. Good Job. Until the last minute you guys showed me what blackshirts were about. Maybe not hayday blackshirts but definately earned them.

Suh. Dude you are the man. Ive never seen a more menacing presence on that field in a long time. Keep up the good work and you make me want to start watching you play on sundays.

Bo and staff. I think you had a good plan, but there d was good. Hard to also get a player open when there all over you. I think the playcalling was decent but i still dotn like the 4th and 1 call. But im just a guy with a keyboard so you know more then i do about this.

I really thought this was a key game. It did show what i thought though. Lee neds more work under big pressure in hostile enviroments. WRs need more practice catching the ball. D though they played good still need to work on not blowing some assignments and missed tackles.

Over all this sucks, it really does. To come this close to getting this dam money off oru backs and take revenge for the last 2 times weve faced these guys and lost. But its not totally the end of the world. It sucks it really really really sucks. But we cant do anything about it. Puff up our chests take out some hirtin next week and prepair for conference ball. We need to improve this stuff if were going to survive at missouri and kansas.

my 2cents

holt and the wr core did not help lee out at all in this game.. holt dropped a few balls and one in paticular when i celebrated and then was ruled an incompletetion, which was the right call, but made me look like a fool for celebrating too early

zac lee played ok.. made some crucial plays with his feet to keep it alive.. however didn't live up to the pocket passer i though he was.. however still a solid qb that i feel is way ahead of where ganz was last year.. makes the smart throw away but still knows when to force the issue.. i really was impressed with lee's instincts tonight.. he is a winner!!

suh had an amazing game except for the end, i feel like he should have rushed tryod on the last td.. he just stood there.. was i the only one that say this?? however he had a solid game

as the game progressed i felt as if our linebackers grew up.. took major steps.. will be a strength in the future

however i feel our secondary is still suspect..

but

i am still very confident in the huskers potential this year... WE HAVE THE TALENT TO MAKE A RUN!!!

if the offense executed, nebraska would have stomped the ever-lovin' sh*t outta the hokies.

alas, they did not. and here we are now.

like i said, this game was full of teachable moments for the offense. defensively, i believe nebraska getting REAL close to a break-thru.

if suh and the boyz play like that during conference, they the could DOMINATE the big xii north.

now all nebraska has to do is put together a whole game.

 
I agree. Lee is good, this game was his first rough test, even though he didnt ace it. It could've been worse. he only threw one INT that was meant for someone, lol. The other one was just a free for all at the last second.

The game could've gone a lot worse, they made note that Lee did not get sacked the entire game. Which looks good on him handling the pressure of the blitz and the D-Line coming after him. There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication out there between the OL and receivers, and you could tell it was hard for Lee to get things organized on the field. Im sure that with more practice and review of the his first away game, he will go into more away games with better composure and playcalling.

Huskers are still in the race for the Big 12 North. After what i saw from our defense today. Man, Kansas and Mizzou are gonna have a heck of time getting things going against us. Its our offense that needs to work on it a little bit.

 
I want to scream i want to smack i want to rip things apart. But also sometimes you need to take a step back to take 3 forward. One thing i will say. They played the game. And compared to a few years ago that is a HUGE step. Defense is on its way. If they made that play in the 2nd quarter we would of rallied and fought back. But with 21 seconds left, what more can you do but pray.

 
Yea, we made progress.

Instead of losing by 5, we lost by 1.

Were getting better. :)
