We can't control what the other team does. The Huskers gave themselves a chance to win in the end and made the plays to give themselves a chance.

Both teams made mistakes.

If you lead by more than three tds with a quarter left against a team that had showed no pulse on offense whatsoever and the stadium emptying until there's only a fourth left don't know, there's a big chance you lose focus cuz you think the game is over. So the chance NU had at the end of the game was solely because MSU stopped playing. Can we control that? No, but don't give credit where no credit is due

This is such crap and such a double standard. If NU has a 20 pt lead and MSU comes back like that you would be complaining about NU losing focus. It's ok for MSU to do it but it wouldn't be ok for Nebraska.

Not sure what you are reading into my statement. I just think the reason the game got close had a lot more to do with MSU giving up than NU fighting so hard till the end. That almost pick6 that turned into a 40yrd Westerkamp catch changed the momentum for good an MSU just wasn't able to regain focus. Focus just ain't a switch you turn back on. Before the almost comeback this board was on the brink of another meltdown and now a lot of people seem to be sort of satisfied with outcome because NU fought hard till the end but simply denying the fact that we got outplayed and out coached yet again on national tv and only had a chance to come back because MSU had packed the bags. If this game and the outcome is considered progress 7yrs into Bo's tenure than we are in for another long ride before anything relevant is gonna happen

People are forgetting that Cook also almost threw an INT late in the game that could've changed the outcome as well. Lucky breaks happened for both teams...

Really, Line could not block and we were playing with 3rd & 4th string receivers who could not run routes. Did you watch the game? Tommy will be lucky to get out of bed this morning. This is the most heart I have seen out of a NE QB in a while.

We lucked into this. Yeah, we "fought" our way back into this. However, if you take DeMornay's returns out, we lose 27-3, possible 34-3 but for MSU blowing that pick-six INT at the end.

I think you need to take a break for a while, dawg.

If you can't see how much credit is due to Bo for improving our defense and special teams when this season is compared to last, I really don't think we're watching the same team. Our defense only allowed 10 points in the second half. Our special teams executed a f****** amazing punt return. That's team effort, that's not luck. Just come on.

*Edit - and let's not forget that both Davie and Bell go out from injury during this one. Two key starters, one on each side of the ball. We still found a way. That's 'fight,' not 'luck.'

Let's keep in mind that we were playing a night game, on the road, in the rain and cold. I think we're better than we showed under the conditions. MSU, to their credit, made the most of some opportunities they might not get again: Davie gets hurt and Rose gets burned on the next play, replay gifts them a fumble on that forward pass, Bell gets hurt and isn't on the field for the comeback, dropped pass by Westy negates big first down. Bottom line is MSU won and NU lost, but NU played to the end and had a chance to win.

From my observation of the game, the OL play wasn't nearly as poor as most are claiming. Who in their right mind thought we were going to go into this game and run the ball straight down their throat? If you did, you obviously didn't watch their game earlier in the season when Oregon tried it. We knew the passing game was going to have to open up the running game. Unfortunately, Armstrong missed some throws that easily would have changed the outcome. This is why I think jumping all over Beck is unwarranted. What's he supposed to call when Armstrong is missing even the short routes and we can't run the ball? The only OL I have major concerns with is Lewis. He's extremely prone to drawing a yellow flag. I'm not sure I've ever seen a NE OL accumulate penalties as often as he does.

As far as teams go when taking into account the offense, defense, and special teams this is by far Bo's best since he's been here. Over the past three seasons, I really questioned whether we were heading in the right direction. It's plain to see we are heading in the right direction.
