I'm saying it for the first time

See my "Replacement Thread". My initial choices are Muschamp, Sarkisian, and Venables.

And I disagree, newearth - I think this is still a very desireable position. I want to see a younger guy with a read drive to lead a program. The pieces are in place; we just need the right man at the helm.

I'm almost there guys. If I don't see some changes with the coaching staff then I'll be on board no problem. However, if he makes some changes with the coaching staff I'll give him next year before I for sure want him gone. Let me make this clear though. If we lose again this season like we did last night get the f'ing hook!

well, you can make book that we will lose another one, by 30 points or more this season, guaranteed.

I'm not sure what you are waiting for, but at least you are getting there.

I told you!

See below for how I have felt for 2 years.

The only positive out of this is that the apologists are gone!

No body wants the NU job. Face the facts boys it isn't the "High Profile" job we all make it out to be.

Who should be brought in? Don't just say a bunch of former Huskers either because not to many of them have any kind of coaching background.

It will be a lot easier to bring in different asst. coaches then it would be to bring in a new Head Coach.IMO Pud set the bar last time and a lot of people have very little to NO interest in the HC job at NU.
Ill agree with you there New. The position has lost some of its luster but there are plenty of coaches out there and all we need is the group of coaches that has the drive and desire that this football program needs. Prior to Devany taking over we were a bunch of scrubs. But when he came to town he brought with him the drive and desire that made NU legendary. I honestly think that picking up a coach like that will turn things around and rather quickly. I personally would like to see the program back into the top 10 by the time the 10yr reunion for the last time we even went to a NC game comes around

Once upon a time Franchione was supposed to be this mastermind coach. He fled from Bama because of some new sanctions from previous violations being added on. They got Saban. Make no mistake about it, any college team with the $$$$$ can have just about anyone they want! If we put up the money, he will come!
