By now we all know that Andrew Rodriguez has been offered by Nebraska for 2010. So who else might be offered by Nebraska? Here are the Nebraska kids currently with listings on Scout:

OG,DT Andrew Rodriguez Ht: 6-6 Wt: 300 40: 5.5 Aurora, NE (official offer)

DT Jeff Uher Ht: 6-2 Wt: 255 Creighton Prep

DT,OT Jesse Hinz Ht: 6-4 Wt: 275 Beatrice, NE

RB,S Nick Mizaur Ht: 5-10.5 Wt: 195 40: 4.78 Creighton Prep

RB Antaries Daniels Ht: 5-10 Wt: 185 Omaha Northwest HS

OT,DT Danny Faulkner Ht: 6-6 Wt: 255 Creighton Prep

CB Dion Jones Ht: 5-11 Wt: 175 40: 4.5 Millard North

Rivals has a few others:

RB Stephon Washington Ht: 5-8 Wt: 160 40: 4.4 Burke

WR Ben Renshaw Ht: 6-4 Wt: 195 Millard North

OT Lincoln Hansen Ht: 6-5 Wt: 250 Millard North

Difficulty: Nebraska only has a small number of slots available for 2010. (Do you think Nebraska will try to talk some Nebraska kids into gray shirting? I know they'll be talking about preferred walk-on, but will Nebraska promise schollies to 2010 kids for 2011?)

So if you have played with/against these guys and/or seen them in action, what do think of their talent, their division one prospects, and their chance to make the Huskers?

Also what talented Juniors are missing?

 
I recognize Antaries Daniels name from a year or so back. He's supposed to be a beast. But that's all I know...

He would be one where numbers might be hard to read. Omaha Northwest has one of the worst football programs in the state.

 
I think Uher and Daniels will get D1 looks, but not necessarily from us. We will be very, very thin on scholarships next year so we will be ultra-picky on who we take. Unless you completely stand out in-state and in camps like Rodriguez has, you probably will not get an offer.

 
Will Bronson Marsh (QB from Millard South) get any looks from D1 schools? He's kind of streaky and with that team losing a lot of talent this year I would expect that he might not put up better numbers that he did this year.

Ohio Pete: Below is some information found from the Scout.com links that you gave above. This might give everybody an idea of who is looking at some of the players you have named. Looks like the Huskers are only looking at two of the three players here.

The program at Beatrice (Nebr.) has consistently put out some talent over the recent years. Next year might be their best shot to have a player pick up a division one offer though. There is a 6-foot-4 and 275-pound defensive tackle/offensive tackle that has been on multiple trips to Lincoln, went to Norman this last weekend and is getting attention from LSU and Oregon as well.

Coach Ron Zook and his staff continue to recruit some of the best talent in the country. Having established recruiting hot beds in the East and South, the Illini staff has begun to make inroads west of the Mississippi. Nebraska running back Nick Mizaur is the star of the Creighton Preparatory football team, and the Illini have taken notice.

While many might look back at the opening weekend in Lincoln as a missed opportunity to bring in any official visitors; the Huskers did redeem themselves by bringing in the top two junior prospects from the state. Along with Andrew Rodriguez from Aurora (Nebr.) in the stands was Antaries Daniels, a running back from Omaha (Nebr.) Northwest, who left a good impression at camp.

Michael Burrus is a great player! However, he is not class of 2010. He is class of 2009. He graduates this spring I believe. Haven't heard where he might be going.

I'm sure he'll play college ball at some level if that's what he decides to do. Again, great player. 2008 All-state RB.
