They all ripped Nebraska, "if they played FSU and Alabama would they be 5-0" is a direct quote from some schmuk. Herbstreit seemed very sarcastic in his talking on Nebraska

There are maybe 2 teams in the entire country who would be undefeated if they played Alabama. Great example there. It does nothing to make the point that we're not a top 10 team.

Exactly, I think that's the comment that really got them. Almost everyone with their picks also took IU, Herbsreit was the lone person to pick the huskers

He's a talking head. They make their money with their mouths and not their brains. Notice nobody ever calls them "thinking heads".

Meh. After watching that clip, I didn't think it was all that bad. I think some of you must have a thin skin. This is exactly the type of stuff they were saying about Iowa last year.

I can't say I disagree with much that they said.

I think the joking around part was more of a reference to the Herbie tantrum years ago, and our fans' reactions to it. An ongoing joke with him. The current players might not know or remember that history, so they take his snarky comments out of context.

Whatever. It's sports entertainment, and they have to be entertaining. At least this year we have earned the right to be talked about.
