Injuries & personnel losses take their toll

Born N Bled Red

All-Conference
What we saw was a direct reflection of all the injuries and personnel losses we've had, players we were playing without today. Let's list them all here shall we?

On Defense 5/11 would be starters

Avery Moss

Randy Gregory

Michael Rose-Ivey

Charles Jackson

LeRoy Alexander

David Santos

Marcus Newby

On Offense 3 starters 2 expected major contributors

Jamal Turner

Kenny Bell

Brandon Reily

Sam Burtch

Adam Taylor

Cethan Carter

On Special Teams

Mauro Bondi

And that is probably not all. Others have to step up and learn. This was a learning experience. Hopefully they'll take it as a lesson and grow. Our we good enough that our second string is head and shoulders better than one of the best teams FCS schools, though we'd all like to think so, probably not.

Can anyone provide more detailed info on the injuries all together? Is there a list somewhere to see who is out and for how long? Looks pretty bad.

2nd game of the season and poor conditioning already threatens it all.

On defense you do need to cut some slack. We are missing several guys that started the bowl, including our DE that's projected as a top10 draft pick.

On O we were obviously thinned-out considerably at wr and it probably had some negative impact but that just wasn't the real problem today.

I wondered how long it would take the Bo apologists to bring out the injury excuse. I never imagined it would be Week 2.

Our third string players at every position are superior to every one of the players on McNeese State. Injuries had nothing to do with today's game; the lack of adjustments and faulty schemes are the culprit. If the teams traded coaching staffs, Nebraska would have blown McNeese out 60-3 and neither AA nor Armstrong would have touched the field in the second half. #truthhurts
