Interesting Pelini stat

Nexus

All-American
Bo Pelini is 4-2 when both teams (NU vs. Opponent) are ranked in Top 25.

The two losses occurred in the final ticks in heartbreaking fashion by a combined score of 2 points (Va. Tech 16-15 in '09 & Texas 13-12 in '09). Both losses occurred on the road.

Of those four wins, 3 of them were road wins (Missouri in '09, Arizona in '09, Oklahoma St. in '10) while the lone home win occurred against Missouri in '10. The combined score of those wins is 72 points which averages 18 pts./gm.

I realize I counted the Texas and Arizona games as road games, even though they're considered neutral site games.

Bo is 0-1 in Big 12 South nightgames....2008 in Norman

I know small sample size, but was thinking the other day about this....hopfully he gets to .500 on Saturday

That was also against the best offense in college football history as far as PPG are concerned. Texas A&M is anything but, which is why I'm reassured about this game. Kyle Field is a dangerous place on the road, but I'm feeling confident in our guys.

My favorite current Pelini stat though, would have to be after Saturday's win that is 9 in a row in the month of November.

Do you mean the combined margin of victory was 72 points? The Okie State game had a combined score of 92 points.

Which would make him 1-1
The 09 OU game was in Lincoln.
I think he meant to word it this way:

Unless your only counting road games 09 OU was also a road night game.
As long as I am not the only one scratching my head trying to figure this one out.

Probably should've clarified, but yes, I meant margin of victory.
