INT's

Our offense made some strides, but the facts remain, to many damn turnovers. We are the very definition of inconsistency

I agree that 1 turnover is too many turnovers, but it's hardly as atrocious as we had against Maine.

so many passes got tipped, and thats the only reason that taylor would throw an int...look at Peyton Manning and Trent Green in the NFL, those guys pass high off the line and over their heads, which I think really helps...if he could watch some film of how they do it, maybe he could adjust to doing that...

Taylor is only 6'0" right? Manning and those guys are 6'6"

At least they got that one review where the ball hit the ground right. I think 1/2 of the stadium would have come down on the field if they had called that an INT.

 :thumbs

I'd say that was far too obvious to call an interception, then I remember the overturned fumble last week.

The offense was about 7 dropped passes away from a big game throwing the ball, so I was very encourages, and I hope that Ausberry was as well. He just needs to put himself in their place and say, I wouldnt have dropped that.

Eh, the turnover department was decent tonight. Zac missed his window to throw it to Nunn on that crossing route. He was open almost all the way across the field and was underneath the saftey (per DJR standing next to me). All in all, Zac made some good throws, but a couple bad ones. Like that weak throw to the corner of the endzone to Nunn as well. He was wide open but he didn't have anything on the ball when he let it go. That FG should have been 6.

You can tell this offense is still learning and is a work in progress. The yardage total was low, but there are some positives. Taylor had the receivers drop lots of passes for him. He is giving the receivers the opportunity to make plays. In order for this offense to work, they have got to cut the dropped passes way down. I have also noticed, for the most part, that when Taylor throws a pass, he is almost always throwing it to where the NU receiver can only get it. He also looks to be getting comfortable out there. I have yet to see any "Deer in the Headlights" looks like we saw so many times with Joe Dailey last season. The first drive of the second half was very nice. The drive that resulted in a field goal was great until they stalled on the 4, but they were clicking pretty good until that.
