Can't remember, but wasn't that also into the wind?  When I heard that on the presser, I just smh....Ridiculous.

Im going to assume the “fake” was for a pooch punt by Alvano.

Yes it would have been into the wind.  Any pop Warner team would have known there was no way they were kicking and something was up

It was such a cluster so I can’t remember, but I’d be very surprised if Iowa wouldn’t have put a returner back there.  A “surprise” pooch punt would have been a poor decision too.

The punt that actually happened should have been the first and only call.
