I disagree with this so much. 3 defensive lineman can’t take up blockers on the line. Teams like Minnesota, Iowa and Penn St love to see 3 line fronts when they aren’t monsters that demand double teams. The offensive linemen have straight shots on our LBs because our DL is so poor and they are down a guy. Butler likes being plus one guy in the back end and give up a DL for it.

I was trying to calm it out in the game thread but every time they ran a 4 man front front they stopped the run.

7 wins would actually be a good year given the schedule plus what we have coming back/coaching staff tbh.

To be fair. Osborne coached in the big 8 which in all fairness had 2 teams and an occasional 3rd. He also had 200 players on the sidelines. What did he do to really turn things around and start winning the bowl games and against OU? How long did it take him to either realize this or get it in place? But rhule needs to win 8-9 games a year with the resources he is being given.

You are arguing a scheme, then. Our LBs are awful. #0 makes 1 great play for every 3 bad. We can agree it is scheme and a front 7 issue. Of
 
I said it in another thread. If I am coach. I have 2 staff members that do nothing other than watch film of lower D1 andD2 players that have proven themselves and have potential and most importantly look hungry to win and get paid. With the portal no point recruiting freshman. They will just simply leave There a tons of players that have either been passed over or simply didn’t develop until they reached a lower level. Find them. I remember when Nebraska played Wyoming against Allen and just kept thinking “ how is this kid not at Nebraska and is playing at Wyoming”
