It doesn't hurt anymore

Last year, it was almost physically painful how bad we were. Now, a loss like this doesn't even phase me and that scares me to an extent like this is becoming normal. It cannot become normal.

Yep. Leaving the stadium after a loss several years ago was like walking out of a funeral. Silent march back to home or to the car, whatever. Tonight, people were chatting and laughing like they'd left a movie. We're desensitized.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. It's pretty sad when it comes to this point. I guess last year was just as bad as it can get so were kind of "used" to it. If its possible to get used to getting your a$$ kicked.

I noticed this as well, I was still mad and sittin with a blank stare but that was just because i really truly sincerely thought we could upset this Mizzou team, but Mizzou proved me wrong 10x over! but I noticed durin the game other fans just cuttin up and actin like it was all normal, and then after the game walkin out the stadium and then goin downtown it was almost as if we had won.

This is off-topic for the post, but I haven't seen you in awhile. TuffTiger was asking about you. Wanted to know where you are and if you would create a new signature. He wants to upgrade to "Tuff as Hurricane." If you're up to it, he deserves it. They were a hurricane tonight.

I know what you mean.....................I was pissed for like 10 minutes and then it was like, "oh well, I wonder if we'll play good against Texas Tech?"

this is all for the greater good...i'd like to remind you all that we don't play football for this team and it is only a game. yes, you would like to see a win when you plop down close to a c-note for a ticket and food, but it's really childish to act pissy afterwards.

During the 4 year nightmare of Callahan's stay, it was hard to figure out if the teams that beat us were better, or just had a better coaching staff. Those loses lasted most of the week.

Now I can see, that we just don't have the horses to beat some of these teams. So it is a little easier to take. I just tell myself, let them have there fun against us now. Pay back in a couple of years will be so sweet.

GBR!!!

It was probably about two years ago when the losses stopped hurting for me. Now it's just another loss. The margin doesn't matter and the end of another streak doesn't matter.

Having said that, if the sell-out streak ever ends it will make me ill.

Very true. I went to a K-State/IA State game a couple years ago and the stands were half empty, but all of the IA State fans were having a great time. I think there were actually more people tailgating across the street-which really looked and smelled awesome when we walked through. If we could have that attitude AND the sellouts, it'd be great.

The team will be fine. Just relax, enjoy the game and remember that it won't be too long before Nebraska is handing Missouri their asses again.

If you want to get mad and yell, go to the stadium and yell at Pelini in his office. Just let me know before you do it, I want to watch.

I'd rather stop by the locker room and vent...but then I'd get crushed and have a bad day thereafter.

Pelini took this loss personally and he took it hard. he accepts full responsibility for it, which is head and shoulders above Clownahan.

Bo will be fine, this team needs to grow, it will do that too. New blood will be coming in as well, we obviously don't have top horses in the stable. the only part of this whole thing that bothers me is Watson not letting a back get some rhythm and splitting so much of the playing time between 3 guys......he needs to pick someone and let them carry 20 times in a game, although the O line ain't gettin' it done!

Now it's turning emotional. Like I'm ready to vomit. It's one thing to lose, but we keep getting killed. Were not losing 34-30...or 21-17, it's more like 52-17, 70-10, 40-6. We're not even close.
