Last year, it was almost physically painful how bad we were. Now, a loss like this doesn't even phase me and that scares me to an extent like this is becoming normal. It cannot become normal.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. It's pretty sad when it comes to this point. I guess last year was just as bad as it can get so were kind of "used" to it. If its possible to get used to getting your a$$ kicked.Yep. Leaving the stadium after a loss several years ago was like walking out of a funeral. Silent march back to home or to the car, whatever. Tonight, people were chatting and laughing like they'd left a movie. We're desensitized.
This is off-topic for the post, but I haven't seen you in awhile. TuffTiger was asking about you. Wanted to know where you are and if you would create a new signature. He wants to upgrade to "Tuff as Hurricane." If you're up to it, he deserves it. They were a hurricane tonight.Yep. this is all for the greater good...i'd like to remind you all that we don't play football for this team and it is only a game.
Very true. I went to a K-State/IA State game a couple years ago and the stands were half empty, but all of the IA State fans were having a great time. I think there were actually more people tailgating across the street-which really looked and smelled awesome when we walked through. If we could have that attitude AND the sellouts, it'd be great. It was probably about two years ago when the losses stopped hurting for me. Now it's just another loss. The margin doesn't matter and the end of another streak doesn't matter.
Having said that, if the sell-out streak ever ends it will make me ill.
:clapthis is all for the greater good...i'd like to remind you all that we don't play football for this team and it is only a game. yes, you would like to see a win when you plop down close to a c-note for a ticket and food, but it's really childish to act pissy afterwards.
I'd rather stop by the locker room and vent...but then I'd get crushed and have a bad day thereafter.:clapthis is all for the greater good...i'd like to remind you all that we don't play football for this team and it is only a game. yes, you would like to see a win when you plop down close to a c-note for a ticket and food, but it's really childish to act pissy afterwards.
The team will be fine. Just relax, enjoy the game and remember that it won't be too long before Nebraska is handing Missouri their asses again.
If you want to get mad and yell, go to the stadium and yell at Pelini in his office. Just let me know before you do it, I want to watch.
