There is no question that the o-line and d-line need some players to step up and improve the quality of both lines. The problem is, I am not sure where these players are coming from. The chances of a true freshman stepping in and making a difference for either side at any position is about 1%. I see freshman all around the country stepping in and making plays for teams, but not at Nebraska. I'm not sure if it's the inexperienced coaches we have or maybe we aren't recruiting the right type of player. I honestly don't know.
What I do know is that the OP is right. Until the two lines get fixed, you can expect pretty much what you have seen or worse. Maybe Bo needs to go back and reevaluate the players that are being recruited or the coaches that are currently on the staff. What ever happens, it's obvious something needs to be done differently, because whatever is currently being done isn't working; especially on the o-line.
