This soul crushing heartache and yearning, it’s going to be so worth it as this thing starts to turn around and then takes off. It’s going to be every bit as exhilarating as the mid 90’s. It might not ever be as flat out successful, but being in the wagon as it starts to ascend will be something we will be able to be unbelievably proud of. Our boys, our state, our coach, our team. It’ll start slow, and there will be moments of happiness combined with setbacks and more heartbreaks. But the good moments will start happening more and more and the heartaches less and less. And eventually, we will look out at the field again and find ourselves waiting to see what our team will do next instead of worrying about how many ways they can choke it away. Being a fan right now kind of sucks, it’s been a long decade, but maybe it’s the best time to be a fan? This is going to be fun.
