Its very possible...

has everyone forgotten, that it took Bowman almost a whole season to play well? and he was a guy with significant JUCO experience......the new guys will have an adjustment period as well, just like the new D linemen, sorry, but with Coz at the helm, the D as a whole will struggle through the first part of next season..we will need Keller and the O to really step up......reality check guys

I agree that the hype needs to be taken with a grain of salt. But we do return 3 senior corners with lots of experience (Bowman, Grixby, Jones), some young DBs with limited experience (Young, Thenarse, Culbert), and 2 JUCO DB's who will have been here for spring practice (Murrillo, Asante). Not too mention Green with 2 years in the secondary, and Brian Wilson who has looked good in limited action this year in the nickel and dime. I think we can be very hopeful for next year with higher expectations without leaving reality.

I doubt that if Shanle didnt cost us any w's than Thenarse would not have either. Thenarse is faster, more athletic and hits harder than anyone in the secondary (not even close). He might not have been right for corner, but I would have loved to see him in Shanles spot just roaming around with his speed and hitting ability on the field. Shanle gave up more than a handful of touchdown just by himself getting burned or missing tackles, you cant tell me Thenarse wouldnt have been better.
