TJ, Vermillion, SD: what do you think about Nebraska this year?

Ivan Maisel: (2:35 PM ET ) I am impressed, more than I thought I would be. The defense looks pretty good. I will probably go to Oregon at USC on Oct. 4, but Missouri at Nebraska looks pretty good, too.

 
As much as I love Nebraska, I don't really want them all over this game with Missouri like that. It will be bad enough if we happen to lose, but we don't need to do it on a national stage. But Oregon at USC? That sounds like they just want to enjoy the warm weather in southern California!

 
If we beat VA Tech, I do think there will be national interest in our game with Mizzou. Regardless of how crummy we've been over the past few season, we are still Nebraska.

Erik (Huskerville): Hey Beano, is Nebraska further along or about where you expected in our turnaround?

Beano Cook: (3:14 PM ET ) I thought they would be better this year, and I think they have a chance to beat Mizzou. It is nice to see Nebraska on the right track. Nebraska fans are probably the best fans in country and the most fair.

We need to do it on a national stage. Missouri will be ranked in the top 5 when we play them and if we beat them then :)

Just like we needed that shot in the arm called USC on the national stage last year? We don't need a national stage. We just need to keep playing football, improving, and hopefully grabbing some wins no one expects out of us. Everything else will fall into place afterward.
