I've got CU tickets

I am so excited I could pee my pants!!!!!!! :clap :corndance :thumbs

It looks like, after an almost two decade absense, I will be able to return to Memorial Stadium to watch the beloved Huskers crush CU. :corndance

But, I have some questions.

How early can you go into the stadium before the game?

Can you still go down under the stands and watch the tunnel walk?

Any secret hints about parking or shuttles or anything like that?

Are there organized events to attend? Where can you find info on them?

What is the champions club? (when I left, it was a parking lot for the Big Red Store)

Looking forward to any and all sage advice.

1. 1.5 hours.

2. I believe so, now it is in the northwest corner though.

3. I liked to park north of the stadium on the north side of the train tracks, then walk across the ped. bridge.

Even if you don't park north, you should check out that bridge. It's just awesome seeing everyone cross over.

The University pushes the Husker Pavillon at Ed Weir track. It's not too bad- you can get some food there if you don't downtown. Nothing fantastic, but you should see it once (I haven't been there at all this year). Also, check out the band's warm-up south of the stadium before they head to the stadium (but that's kinda late and I always like getting in the stadium early).

Here is what I know, the tunnel walk is on the other side this year and will remain on that side for a long time. I think you can still go down there to watch, they have a red 'carpet' or an actual red piece of field turf that the players walk on to come out, but around there there is still the concrete walkpath under the N endzone. As far as getting into the stadium early, I don't know never tried it, I like to go to the bars before the game, I highly reccomend going to the Embasy Suits for a little higher class environment or going to Sidetracks for a great game day environment, its def an R enviornment but I love it and will be there. For the Mizzery game we parked way North of the stadium and found a free parking lot, I think we hald to walk quite a ways but It wasn't that bad for me. Its right behing a police station I think maybe on K and 9th but I'm not sure exactly if thats right. As far as special events, if you go early on the W side of the stadium the have some exhibit showing the Nat Championship trophys, its pre cool.

Here are some links that might help you out.

I always get into the stadium 1.5 hours before the game, find my seat, and take in the view of the greatest stadium in the country.

You can watch the tunnel walk, the university is actually pushing for more fans to be down there, because it's not as full as the southwest entrance was.

I park north of the train tracks around the neighborhood, sometimes pay for it, because most houses give you easy access in and out.

The Husker Pavillion has great stuff for kids, and pregame happens there as well. Also check out all the new additions on the north end.
