Im sure we all have heard about Coach Cal trying to land his old budie from Oakland. well rumor has it that old lady Al davis has been trying to throw some weight around and intimidate NU. jay's contract doesn't run out until next February a year from now. Davis says that Nebraska is interfering with his contracted employees. Jay has tried to resign but al wont let him b/c says he is still under contract. we dont need any more snafus. we just need a good coach. I dont know what to think about all these "old friends' BC is giving jobs to. hopefully they are more than just good friends. and are actuaully the best for the job.

yeh that wudnt make sense to keep a guy who wants to leave. but that prick also hates to be disrespected. thinks hes a mob boss. doesnt realize hes a golden girl. so im sure he'll keep norvell on staff just to show whos in charge, but make his life hell and then realease him after his contract is up and we dont need him anymore. would be pretty typical of davis to put his ego in front of the sake of the team.

well with the recent Norv Turner hire in Oak hopefully he will no longer have a need for norvell. but it seems like davis is doing this in spite of Cally, so i wouldnt be surprised if they kept him. bastard.

Looks like Al Davis continues to be the old lady that we know him as. Norv Turner will meet with Norvell thur, so we should know one way or the other by then. Look what Alice said about Callahan:

"I think it is being worked out," Davis told a pool of reporters after the press conference announcing Turner's hire. "I don't know that they haven't hired an offensive coordinator because whatshisname said he's going to call the plays." What a female dog!!

Hey Norv, I hope you're paying close attention to the words of your new boss. You have always seemed like a class guy, so I hope you haven't just sold your soul to the devil. As my mom (an NU grad.) used to always say - "watch what you wish for....you just might get it!" Good luck Norv....you're going to need it.

Callahan:

"He has the abilitiy to coach at a very high level [indianapolis and Oakland]. He has a lot of knowledge. He has a depth of the game that I think is unparalleled to a lot of coaches out there in professional football as well as college football."
