Jerry Hughes wins Lott trophy

So it appears that the Pacific club must have felt so bad for all the other defenders in the country that they decided to award at least one defensive trophy to someone not named Ndamukong Suh. Why else would they award the Lott trophy to Jerry Hughes? It certainly wasn't his on field performance that swayed them, considering Suh had a better numbers in EVERY statistical category.

I guess the "personal character" provision must have played a big role this year. Considering that, I assume Hughes must have spent his off time saving stray kittens and teaching orphans to read. Otherwise I would have to assume they made a huge mistake on this one! <_<

 
don't forget about Suh's late night accident. regardless of how we feel about that, it may have played a role in the personal character provision.

Meanwhile all of the voters deemed him worthy enough (he should have won the dang thing) to get invited to the Downtown Athletic Club for a little thing called the Heisman trophy presentation.
