Meet Joey Bosa

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There is no curtain to pull back for Joey Bosa, no privacy he is fighting to protect and no fear of what people think about him. The spotlight is already on the Ohio State sophomore anyway, the product of his emergence as one of the nation's most feared pass-rushers and a likely shoo-in as the top defender in the Big Ten.

He's a shoo-in, guise! Go Bucks!!

Edit: Come on you guise! Nobody has a problem with Joey Bosa being a shoo-in as the best B1G defensive player? Nobody?? LOL

Well, 9 of his 14.5 TFL's has come against teams without a winning record. Also, 6 of his 10 sacks have come against teams with a non-winning record.

So, I'd say he's balls out versus teams that can't win. Average versus teams that do.

However, that doesn't matter much to the awards people...they look at end numbers and that's what they'll reward.
I would venture to guess other top defensive players in the B1g and other conferences have similar stat lines when broken down by opponents win and loss record.

I dunno. Randy Gregory's best games came against Miami and Sparty (well, and Illinois / Rutgers too. lol). Then again, Randy sat out the first two games this year. He probly would have racked up some big numbers in those first two creampuff games too. LINK

Lol at those dismissive about Bosa. Remember he is only a sophomore.
Questioning whether he's the top defender is hardy dismissive. He's clearly one of the best in the conference. And whether he's a sophomore or senior has nothing to do with whether he's the top defender this season.

I don't care if anyone here thinks he is the top defender. He is really good and he plays for the Buckeyes. That is good enough for me.

I would definitely say Bosa is either 1 or 2 for the top D player in the B1G. The guy destroyed PSU's Oline for most of that game and has been very disruptive in pretty much every game.

I think Gregory is way more athletic and is a better pass rusher but Bosa is a stouter DE that plays the run really good and can get to the QB really well.

I think Gregory is his equal if not better, but Bosa has had the better season. If that makes sense

Damn. He's from St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida. That was always one school I had hoped we could've gotten a foot in the door of down there. So far as I know, we're still cherry picking from different schools. Imagine if we had an in at STA... Could've seen Bosa and Giovani Bernard in Scarlet and Cream. We wound up with Heard in Bernard's class anyway.

As for Bosa, he's pretty stinking good. I don't know if he's THE best, but it's not really like anyone else has really lit the world on fire in this league defensively anyway.

If I were building a team, I'd probably take Gregory or Shilique Calhoun before Bosa, even if Bosa has had a better season stastically.
