A co-worker of mine plays in a recreational flag football league here in Omaha and he told me when he was playing this weekend the team that was playing on the field right next to his was being Quarterbacked by none other then single season passing record(s) holder Joey Ganz. He said he watched the game when his was over and it appeared to be a close game. He said Ganz had his team driving but through a costly interception right as his team was about to score. <_<

Seriously though he said the dude can sling the ball all over the place and was lighting up. What do you think the other team did when they saw that he was taking the field to play against them? You get all set to play your weekend flag football game and you look across the field and the quarterback is the 2009 Gator Bowl MVP. That would definitely suck for them. :wacko:

 
I guess I look at it differently. I'd love to play against him. When I was in college playing flag football, we played a team that brought a player in that was on the track team. Yeah, he was fast and all but in the end we won. Just because Ganz can sling it doesn't mean that the other team can't cover the receivers. Even in flag football, it's pretty hard to be beaten by just one guy.

I would recognize Ganz anywhere...

But Husker QB failures like Sam Keller I would just assume forget about.

Does the speculation he will be taking over QB coach duties from Watson have merit?

I would hope we wouldn't give a recruiting coach position to Ganz, you only get 9 assistants plus the head coach. If Ganz comes on, it would mean a GA spot IMO.

I always thought Ganz had trouble pulling the trigger. I think Lee has the same problem. Two QB's, same coach. ??????????????????????????

"Golden Boy Ganz?" I thought it was "Love Bug?" Maybe it should just be "WorldsBetterThanZacLeeDespiteWhatnewearthuskerClaimed Joe Ganz."

I still don't get your problem with him. He was a very good college quarterback. Plus I think he'll be a good GA.
