Juwan Howard Stepping Down

Michigan head coach scandal #2....though it may not be a done deal according to the interwebs

"While rumors swirled Sunday that Howard would be stepping down, he is still the school’s head coach, according to The Athletic’s Brendan Quinn.

Howard’s status became a hot topic Sunday night when a fake account tweeted that Howard is stepping down and assistant coach Phil Martelli will be the interim coach."

That's why I tried to find multiple sources.  Sounds like it's under investigation and he very well could be let go.

I agree it could definitely go that direction. Will be interesting to get the whole story.
The boards are all saying it's being investigated. I think Howard has shown a very short fuse on several occasions and is on a zero tolerance policy after the Wiscy coach head slap. This could very well mean he is done, which at this point would be OK with half the fanbase. When you have two NBA lottery picks and cannot make the tourney....

Come on, he is from Chicago!  That is what you do when you are a millionaire 55 year old man with an education who has not lived in "the hood" for 30 years...you punch people!

This is actually good news for Michigan, they have wanted him gone and are going to back the truck up for Nate Oats...who will turn it down but make Bama give him another huge raise.

Then they will make a run at Sean Miller, who will probably take it.

Part of the quote in that first tweet said:

A physical fight with a fellow staff member behind closed doors is not a fireable offense in most cases. Events like this are more common than people might assume.

What? What would happen to any of us in our workplaces if we threw hands at a coworker?

I coached FB, baseball, basketball, wrestling and I think that is it...over 30 seasons or so...never got in a fight never saw any staff fights, never heard of any fights.  Yelling, twice.  Two times.
