Kalu Appears to Spit at Fan

Social media let JJ Watt raise over $20 million in hurricane relief money.

I should’ve said, generally speaking.

Yes, there have been good things done on social media but, as a whole, it is used to feed egos of people hiding behind a computer. You hear about more bullying issues on social media than you do about the good deeds done. One of Facebook’s co-founders came out recently and talked about how the creation was based on mainupulating and taking advantage of human psychology. That doesn’t seem like an added benefit to society.

Generally speaking, what you said still isn't true.

Yes, it feeds egos and breeds people being nasty through anonymity and makes it easier for people to stay in their echo chambers of misinformation. It also raises hundreds of millions of dollars towards worthy causes, lets people let their family and friends know that they're safe during disasters, has reunited lost family members and pets, helps develop communities and let you meet/discover people with common ground, gives a platform of attention for things like women sharing their stories of sexual assault, so on and so forth.

Anyways, putting this back on topic, social media can be bad because it can make it too easy for some jacka$$ to paint Kalu as a bad dude for something entirely misconstrued. Social media can also be rad as hell for giving us a glimpse of the real Joshua Kalu who thanked the fans for coming - without these players being on social media the only interactions we would have with their real personalities are press conferences where they're coached on how to give non-answers.

100% correct. That is LITERALLY what @Husker2019 said.

I've always respected you and hoped that it was no big deal so much so that I posted the video all over social media painting you out to be a bad guy.

Dude's gotta get his 15 minutes of internet fame somehow. Our society is broken.

Said video has been removed from said facebook...  so I would assume said idiot is embarrassed that he made such a big deal out of said action...  hopefully said snowflake learnt his said lesson...
