Keller Ball St. Post Game

There are only two things I can complain about with Keller...........................He's a gunslinger which means that his passes aren't always accurate and he throws the ball really low. That means more tipped passes and possiblities with INT's. Also he holds on to the ball forever and just when a guy is getting ready to knock the piss out of him throws an 180mph fast ball right as the guy is touching him. Between that and how close the game was yesterday I actually chewed my fingers off!!!

Total class, he could have thrown the defense under the bus, drove it forward and then backed up, but he didn't.

Gotta remember this is his last chance, and what amount to a contract year for him, so he's not trying to burn bridges or tear people down. He's gotta rely on this team if he wants any shot at the NFL. He's doing a great job.

Don't start on Keller, put the focus where it needs to be.

Sorry...I thought you were talking about someone else....

No. I'm not saying that he is or will be anything near the QB that Favre is/was. But a lot of the same 'gunslinger' characteristics.

He's new to the program. He doesn't have the 'tradition' and tenure that many of the players have. He's been seen and rumored to be brash, arrogant and a little "Hollywood" which might be difficult for a lot of the older generation Husker fans to stomach. So he's toeing the line.

With that being said.....SCREW IT.

I want to see this guy call out his defensive unit! Step up and get in their face. They deserve it. "HEY A$$HOLES...I'M PUTTING UP HUGE NUMBERS IN SOME OF THESE GAMES AND WE AREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO BLOWING ANYONE OUT!!! QUIT F-ING AROUND AND DO SOMETHING!!!"

I want to see that kind of fire right now. I know he has it in him, it's just a matter of time before he takes the muzzle off and chews on someone's a$$.

Keller is a better speaker than Callahan. He speaks intelligently, seems to answer the questions honestly, and he shows emotion. Callahan can talk for 30 minutes and not say anything.

I'm honestly astounded by how well Keller played the last two weeks...especially after watching him struggle a bit and get out of his element at Wake Forest...hopefully that was just an aberration and not an indicator of things to come when on the road...

Sorry to bring in the negative, but this is the only doubt I have about him. As a leader he's outstanding and he played an almost perfect game Saturday (minus that low ball that got picked but should have been a TD and that one series where he was taking way to much time in the pocket)
