I picked the winner of the Kentucky Derby..now if I would of only been there to bet lol

I didn't even look at the odds or pay attention on who the jockey was..just looked at the horses as they were going to the gate.

I rode horses alot...what a sloppy track it was..so glad that a horse or jockey didn't get hurt.

I try to watch the Derby every year but end up turning the channel and missing it because the pre-race is 16 hours long!

I'm was in a similar situation Roxy.

I was actually in Vegas this weekend, walked up to the sportsbook in Mandalay Bay hoping to bet on the race. Standing there for 5 minutes (after plenty of online research the week prior) I decided to out money on both SuperSaver and Ice Box.

What sucks is that I spent the vast majority of Saturday at the pool only to walk to the sports and see a line of hundreds of people waiting to place bets. I decided it wasn't worth waiting..... :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm:

I still came out of top over the course of the weekend. Thank you craps tables!

Sorry that happened to you..bummer. I am happy that you had good luck on craps:) I love blackjack myself:) I know that alot of people study the horses..but..I am the kind that just sees what the weather is like...what the track is like, how the long the race is, what post position they have and who the jockey is...look at the horses before the race and go from there:) I may look at the odds..but I don't really go by the odds..just go by intuition:)

I miss going to the track. I used to go just for fun once in awhile when I lived in Nebraska. I miss riding horses.
