Kickers!

OK, we all know the Kicker is everyone's favorite player on the team.. but what is going on at NU?!?!?

Alex broke NCAA records and gets paid to put up with Philly fans now.

Adi started a cult following>>tradition in the student section, and just got signed by Carolina.

And Brett is showing signs that he might be the best of the 3...

...and all these guys were on the team at the same time? Potentially 3 NFL kickers?!?!? That's depth baby!

This is just a warning Husker fans - we have been ridiculously spoiled when it comes to kickers...and some day the run will have to end....right?

Enjoy it while it lasts at least, and try not to take it for granted.

GBR!

Nebraska has been very fortunate in regards to kickers these last few years and after watching key games be lost due to missed field goals the importance of having a good kicker can't be understated.

Not only in recent years, we have always been pretty spoiled when it comes to kickers. The Browns had dang good careers: both at NU and in the NFL. There have been plenty more I am sure, including punters like Larson and Koch.

Actually I don't know if it has to end. Maybe a little known fact but Nebraska has some pretty good soccer programs and a lot of those guys, like Brett and Alex (and Adi though he's not from Nebraska), aren't opposed to choosing a kicking career in football over a soccer career. I think Kansas also has some pretty competitive high school soccer as well.

There's no doubt we've been blessed but really we shouldn't have to go to far to find the talent, and if we do slip it will more than likely be because one of the guys was a bust.

it's all psychology for kickers and for some reason under Pelini the kickers have had an attitude to get the job done regardless of distance or difficulty, on a consistent basis.

This.

Nebraska has only had a couple of bumps in the road when it came to kickers the last two decades.

Don't forget our great punters. They get even less love than kickers.

Didn't Lafleur play in the NFL too? And don't forget Erstad right before him

We're just the only team in D-1 that actually is smart enough to go after and develop kickers. Some teams completely ignore them and it costs them big time

I'm looking at you, Florida State, Michigan, Oklahoma

Boise State, too.

How much would Alabama have liked to have had even one of our lesser kickers ealier this year. It seemed like under Switzer, Oklahoma always had great kickers.
