ku football

sorry but i cant agree with anyone wishing luck to Turner Gill at ku.He took the job knowing he will be our enemy now. his job will be to go out and out coach us and hand our butts to us if he can.he will attempt to get recruits from us and so on.

I wish him no luck and us all of it. :espnsucks:

I respect Turner as a head coach but also as a man. He is a great role model and I wish nothing bad for him

NU has survived having other good coaches in the Big XII just fine. A stronger Big XII makes for a better conference and better shots at high rankings and national titles. If we take care of our end, it won't matter if Gill and KU have luck and a good team, because we'll still win when we should.

I'm hoping Gill has success with KU. The last thing I want to see happen in the Big XII North division is seeing everyone but NU fall into "cupcake" status. It doesn't help our level of competition.

My motto as a former athlete was always:

"In order to be the best you have to beat the best."

I would've loved to have the '09 D with the '08 O and competed against '07 KU & '07 MU for the North division title. That would've been fun to watch.

I'm just glad Kansas took him so I don't have to worry about him being our coach anytime soon. It won't take long to figure out that winning at KU is a little different then winning at Buffalo, I don't think the god card is gonna work out as well. Just my opinion.

I root for Gill ONE TIME A YEAR. And that will be against Misery. But that's subject to change if it effects Nebraska's race to the north title.

Bigot much?

I Respect him as a player and coach and what he did for Nebraska, can't say will be the same for KU, seriously is anyone going to say... "Oh Kansas is kicking our a** every year, but I love what Tuner Gill is doing for them" :bs: Now not saying that is going to happen, but just b/c he is at KU now does not make me a fan or supporter of what he does, bottom line his job is the same as Bo's, win the Big 12 north and both KU and NU are in their respective way.

If Gill's class act as a player and a coach rubs off on the team and the fans, I'm all for it. KU will become more of a rivalry like OU and not have classless fans like Colorado does in my opinion.

I want Gill to be a horrible failure at KU so that if Watson doesn't prove himself to be an elite playcaller Gill will be available to take over and if Watson does prove to be an elite playcaller and gets a head coaching job Gill is available to take over.

This years defense and last year's offense against 07 Kansas and 07 Missouri wouldve resulted in a couple of 45-10 wins. Those two teams in 07 were a joke. Missouri only lost to Oklahoma twice, and Kansas didnt have to play either Texas or Oklahoma. They were good teams with explosive offenses, but they did find out you still have to have a D to win the big ones. Not to mention the other 4 teams in the North that year were in the toilet.
