Agreed, but I've had no luck at all this year. Thank goodness for ESPN3 for those of us on the West Coast. Gonna have to settle for Husker Radio today though I'm afraid...

Plug an ethernet cable to your receiver and you can order PPV through your receiver. Also, you can order it on their website for no fee. I have never had any problems with ordering and watching the game in HD.

has anyone else with Directv had problems with ordering the HD version and then only getting the SD version? that has happened to me with every PPV game this year and it is always a hassle to get it fixed. i hope it doesn't happen again tonight...

Yes. Always order HD and get SD...for awhile. HD channel eventually starts coming in, but not until well into the game. Direct TV seems clueless when you call and complain. I had them tell me that there were no reported problems other than mine.

Nice to hear someone else shares my pain. For what its worth, it didn't happen again last night. Every time I had ordered online and got this problem. Last night I ordered on the tv and it worked. Of course, if you don't at least occasionally connect your receiver to call in, this isn't an option...
