I'm thinking about uploading the gator bowl to youtube.

What I'm wondering is, I know it's likely that it will get removed, but is there any way I can actually get in trouble?

In a word, yes. Even though you won't profit from it, you will be distributing material that is copyrighted, which is illegal. It would be the same if you "seeded" a P2P system with music from your CD collection.

Now, I can't say how likely it would be that something would actually be done to you, but there is no question that you could be sued for copyright infringment.
