Leon Jackson

Here's a thought maybe they both play RB. White and Bush seem to be ok with it at USC. Brown and Williams didn't mind at Auburn. Crap I think LSU plays like 3-4 guys back there. If he can help win games he will play RB. All I know is we need SPEED on Defense and this kid can flat out fly. :horns2

 
I think what will dictate which plays more, or sooner, at running back is which picks up the blitz package soonest. Both have unreal ability running the ball, and both can come out of the backfield as a hot read, but how many high school backs know how to block - or more, how to pick up the blitz? If you want them in for more than a single play, they will have to be able to pick up the blitz.

 
wow, I didnt think of it like that....I would love to turn it into a Jackson/Lucky backfield. Lots of speed to really get around in the WCO!

 
Didn't both of these guys kind of have some trouble qualifying or there was thought they might not? That being said, Brandon Jackson had some difficulties qualifying. He didn't get to play much last year because his blocking wasn't up to par because he couldn't pick up the blitz packages. Maybe neither of these guys if they're not the sharpest tools in the shed will play much either this year at RB? It really makes not difference because of B Jackson and Ross, so maybe both will end up at different positions. Maybe Lucky will play Wing and L Jackson on defense. Who knows?

 
:WTH I heard on the radio last night that L Jackson isn't even able to practice yet. Apparently, he hasn't been cleared by the NCAA yet to even play do to his qualifying. There are five guys on the roster not yet cleared by the NCAA. Two of the others are the Piccou's. Maybe we're discussing something that will never happen. Maybe none of these five will even be on the roster!

It will be a huge blow if we lose L Jackson, the two Piccou's, and one was a receiver, and I can't remember the other!
