Lincoln Bar Ranking

I am BORED as can be today, so, lets hear your thoughts on the Lincoln bars, basically just on gameday. I have a buddy that lurks this site, because he can't remember his password and he hates when I start threads like this, oh well!

1. I am LOVING the rooftop at Barry's but they could really use another bar up top, the service was slllloooooow.

2. I know this will get a lot of the "Ughhhh, what a frat bar" comments but Brothers is fun for pre-game stuff! I h

Brothers is a good time for pre-game. Not a frat bar at that time. It is really close to my free parking, so I got there often for quick lunch and few beers while watching few of the early games.

I have noticed that it is pretty easy to find some free parking on game days around that area now.

I see they have a Tilted Kilt in Lincoln now, went to the one in Indy. The only thing I don't understand is why is it out by the mall?? If that thing was in the Haymarket it would make tons of money after the arena is built, plus during football weekends. At least downtown somewhere at the very least. This is the same reason Hooters didn't make it in Lincoln. It was way out on 70th and O. You have to be where the action is. I really think Hooters would make a good go if downtown or in Haymarket too. If I had the money I would definitely give it a try.

Been to the Tilted Kilt in Gateway, it's a pretty cool place. The wait staff is decent looking, and the food is good. Alchol is a little expensive, but I'm willing to pay a little extra just because of the experience.

I also went to the Tilted Kilt in Indy. It is nothing special to me but I know my dad and his buddies love the place. They have wanted to open one in KC.

I didn't know they opened one in Lincoln. Downtown would have been prime. Especially around the arena construction area.

Theres already a Twins Peak planned for the Haymarket, its a pretty similar concept that may be why.

I like your list especially the Watering Hole, Sandy's Duffys, and Jack's. Those are probably my personal favorites, along with Iggy's and Mainstreet.

Sandys is good. For some reason after most games I find myself either celebrating a W or drowning my sorrows of a L with a sharkwater at Cliffs. Something about that place I enjoy.

I went to Harrys Wonder bar once... or at least that is what my credit card statement told me.... They make strong drinks... or so I was told they do.

I usually hit up Iguanas and then Bodegas and duffys.

The Waterhole has great food.

I dont mind Brothers, but it is a "Bro" bar... doesnt bug me that much.

I think Sandys is highly overrated.

Not a fan of Fat Toad.. Bouncers are jerks and they have really crazy dress code policies.

Cliffs is good if you enjoy memory loss. Good place to start the evening and get going.

Wednesday at Iggy's is free Nachos

Sunday at Cliffs is half off kamikazis
