Lincoln Tailgating

Does anyone here tailgate in Lincoln? I have always just hit the bars or other friends spots but I would like to get a spot for a game this year and set one up with my friends. I was looking for good places to park and trying to find out what the best way is to get a spot, do I have to purchase a pass or something like that?

I've parked at the Haymarket ballpark complex and there isn't a pass required....first come first served. They open pretty early in the a.m. and I've never seen it full. I think it was $10 to park all day and then you have about a 3/4 mile walk to the stadium on the pedestrian bridge. There are lots of tailgaters there and some impressive motorhomes that have big attendance at their parties.

I know many spots around, and closer to, the stadium are much more expensive and generally rent the space for the full season.

Haymarket park, parking lot, or lots 20 and 21 are for season ticket holders. You can however pay $25 to park in lot 21. They have around 100 or so passes to buy. First come first serve.

We've always parked in the North Bottoms in yards. I've seen people tailgate in certain lots closer to the pedestrian bridge. We always get there about 2 hours prior to kickoff and the only game in recent memory that we had getting a spot was Wiscy 2012, and it was a mess. We were lucky to find a spot for I backed my truck up underneath someone's bushes.
