Linkin Park Concert

Anybody go to the LP concert in omaha tonight? Man I gotta say, one of the best experiences of my life -- and coming from a guy who has been to a lot of big name concerts.

The band was pretty pumped for starting off the american tour, and the qwest center crowd did a stellar job of proving that nebraska shouldn't just be a state bands drive through. You could tell on the band members' faces that they were having a great time and were really enjoying the crowd.

I was like one person away from the very front of the pit on the right side, and ALMOST touched Chester's hand, and even had my hands on a shirt thrown out by Mr. Hahn, unfortunately 4 other people also had their hands on it. :(

Only crappy parts of the night were getting stepped on by a girl in 2-inch heels, falling down in the middle of the pit (scariest moment of my life), having an absolutely horrendous headache and being on the verge of passing out from rocking out so hard.

Man what a night. :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :woo :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2

I was GOING to go to see Coheed and Cambria, who's probably in my top three . . . and then I ran out of money. So I didn't get to go. Did they do a decent job?

C&C put on an alright show imo...

they don't really do much live, just kinda stand there. Someone chucked some kind of beverage at the lead singer and drilled him in the face, but it didn't stop him :P The crowd that was seated had a good time, but most of the people in the pit were gettin impatient waiting for linkin park.

I really don't know why either.....

chiodos and coheed are about as different from LP as you can get.

but i'm not complaining :)

Coheed and Cambria are cheap version of The Mars Volta.
Hardly . . .

Coheed = Progressive hard rock/alternative metal

The Mars Volta = Progressive Jazz Fusion

I'm a big fan of both bands, and I really don't hear any similarities aside from a singer with a high voice.

Yeah, I have listened to Coheed for a while, and I was NOT expecting their singer to look like that.....

freakin' mountainman

Yeah....you are right.

I remember around the time that I was getting into MV, Coheed had a single out on the radio, and they would always play the bands back to back.

But I think Cedrick Zavala OWNS Claudio Sanchez in vocals.

I saw LP at Pershing in 01. They rocked it then, their newest cd doesn't seem to have the adrenaline that the older stuff had. I am not sure how they would be in concert now.

Linkin' Park is that south of "O"? :laughpound j/k i wuv papercut

I'll put your mind at rest.

It was f***in' amazing.
Good to hear that, I wish I would have tried a little harder to win tickets now. I remember LP playing the Ranch Bowl, opening for Kottonmouth Kingz in 2000. My, they have come quite a ways.
