Assistant Coach
Brian Christopherson with Wisconsin game Yays and Nays article.
It feels damn good to have a HC Riley's leadership and professionalism tiding us through some pretty tough events.
A lot of hope that the team will pull through and emerge better for their stumbles, rather than allowing it to sink or poison them. Nobody associated with Husker football is happy with the losses that have happened, but it's impossible for me not to get behind and cheer these guys forward.
A shout out to the fans, too:

You bet, coach. There were no dramatic captain speeches after the 23-21 Nebraska loss to Wisconsin. Players listened as Mike Riley talked. It was a talk well-received, according to senior defensive end Jack Gangwish.
"The first message was for the guys that are older," Riley said. "Guys like Maliek (Colins) and Vince (Valentine) and Jack (Gangwish) and Alex (Lewis)." Riley named off about a dozen veteran players in the locker room.
"What we need is those leading the rest of the crew," Riley continued. "I said, 'I don't know about whatever is going to happen. I can never predict that. But one thing I do know is you've answered the bell every time and we're going to continue to do that.' We're going to go back to work.'"

That was as amazing a Memorial atmosphere as I can ever remember witnessing. Just awesome.You. The fans.
The way the crowd rose to the moment after Janovichs late touchdown was quite a scene. Fans of all ages, 8 to 80, were dancing to the hip-hop song Let Me Clear My Throat. Husker players and coaches joined in on the sideline.
Fans around here can be really tough on their team when it goes wrong, but there isnt a fan base that wants to win more. That hunger to turn this thing around was so evident on Saturday. A crowd trying to will its team to a win.
