Local Media React

It's great to see local media going after the AD and Riley as it should be when the performance is so pathetic.  Lee did not hold back in this article, and really hit on Eichorst's ineptitude on a host of issues.

And even Sipple had a scathing piece.

Its time to take off the white gloves and lay it out on the line.  For too long the media has been too soft on both parties.  I am guessing that by November Trev is in place and by December we have our next new coach.  We only have one more chance to get this ship righted.  To many Big 10 teams improving and winning.  Indiana, Purdue, and Minnesota all look like better teams this season than last.

He won't be gone soon enough.  Call Trev and give him the job.

I don't know a lot about Hank Bounds and who his connections are with.  To me the key is to get SE out sometime in October, take a couple weeks to find his replacement, and then give the replacement the month of November to figure out who will replace Riley.  Assuming we are still struggling in November, I would not be opposed to the new AD announcing Riley's last game will be the Iowa game, and who his replacement will be.  This will be critical to allow our current recruits and prospective recruits a chance to know a better coach is on the way (it better be a better coach...lol).

Don't forget Maryland and Rutgers too looking better.

I'd read their stuff but I am not paying a subscription fee for local Lincoln news where they tell me all this BS hype about how the team is going to be better this week and what not.

I didn't have to pay any fee.  I wonder why it's asking you to.  Sometimes you have to answer a few silly questions, but I have never had to pay a fee for an LJS article.

Thanks! Yeah maybe it's the survey, but I think I got a message once saying my 7 free article trial was over and needed to sign up for a fee.

On what medium do you read HB?  If iPad, i found a browser just called, "browser".  Every time it closes, it wipes everything away.  Perfect for reading articles behind the paywalls like the two major "papers" in Nebraska.  Whenever i get that "you have read your limit" screen, i pop over to "browser".  I dont live in Nebraska any longer, so i am not paying for a "paper" where 95% of the content is irrelevant to me.
